This week, we wanted to take a moment to share with y’all that Neely and Blakely traveled to Mexico back in November to visit our beloved second family in San Miguel de Allendale! When the two stepped through the doors, they received long overdue hugs and in person greetings after adhering to the travel restrictions from COVID-19. It just so happened that the November trip also fell on Día de los Muertos, better known as the Day of the Dead! This day is used to honor those who are no longer with us, where families decorate their gravesites and dress up with fantastic face painting.
While Neely and Blakely enjoyed celebrating, the majority of their time was spent in the factory working on current and future designs. With new fabrics, outsoles and more -- the designs launching in 2022 and into 2023 are the final results of these brainstorming sessions. In today’s world, where almost everything is now virtual, there is something more meaningful about feeling the elastics between your fingers with an in-person round table discussion. Every shoe you will see is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted by our team in Charleston and the talented cobblers in Mexico.
