Where It All Started

Giving back has always been at the heart of our mission, and it's something our founder Neely is deeply passionate about. We believe shoes can restore confidence, bring comfort, and create opportunity. That belief has inspired us to partner with incredible organizations making a difference in the lives of others.

Our focused approach is to support women in business and local animal shelters, but when we see a need, we'll always do our best to give. Over the years, we've partnered with a range of organizations both monetarily and through product gifts, from sourcing and donating work boots for hurricane relief to supporting healthcare workers on the front lines. We also donate a percentage of sales from our trunk show program to hundreds of organizations across the country.

These efforts are our way of sending a heartfelt thank you to our loyal customers, who we consider part of the Charleston Shoe Family. Spreading a bit of Shoe Joy can go a long way and make a powerful impact.

Soles4Souls & More

Our largest and most impactful partnership is with Soles4Souls, an organization dedicated to turning unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunities by keeping them out of landfills and putting them on the feet of those who need them most.

We're honored to contribute to their mission by donating our older styles, which are then distributed to individuals and communities in need around the world. Our most recent donation amounted to nearly $2 million worth of shoes, a milestone that reflects not just our growth as a company, but our commitment to using that growth to help others.

We were also proud to support Dress for Success Boston, whose mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence through professional attire and career support. We donated 800 pairs of shoes to help women step confidently into new chapters of their lives. Knowing our shoes can play a small part in helping someone walk into an interview, land a job, or feel empowered in their everyday life is one of the most meaningful ways we can make an impact.

Whether it's through global partnerships or local efforts, Charleston Shoe Company remains devoted to giving back. These partnerships remind us that fashion can be a force for good, a source of dignity, and a way to connect with and uplift communities near and far.

Healthcare Heroes

In early 2020, Charleston Shoe launched a line of professional shoes specifically designed for healthcare and hospitality workers: closed-toe, flexible, breathable, supportive, and machine washable. When COVID-19 hit and trade shows were canceled, we saw an opportunity to spread Shoe Joy to the incredible women working on the front lines in hospitals.

We launched our Healthcare Heroes campaign, Our very first donation went to our hometown MUSC Hospital with over 100 pairs distributed to workers on the COVID floors.
