Washing Instructions

We're known for our machine washable shoes!

One of the best things about Charleston Shoe Co.? Most of our sandals are machine washable. Here's how to keep your favorite pair looking (and smelling) like new.

How to Wash Your Shoes

1

Place in a Garment Bag

Put your shoes in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase. This protects the shoes during the wash cycle and keeps straps from getting tangled.

2

Wash on a Gentle Cycle with Cold Water

Use the gentle/delicate cycle with cold water only. Add 2 tablespoons of our Shoe Suds (specially formulated to clean shoe fibers, restore color, and maintain elasticity) or a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener.

3

Air Dry Only

Never use a dryer or expose shoes to high heat. Air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Stuff with a cloth or paper towel to help them retain their shape as they dry.

Hold up! These can't go in the wash

The following styles should never be machine washed. Instead, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Leather styles (genuine leather will crack and warp)
Suede styles (water damages the nap and texture)
Loafers (spot treat only)

Not sure if your style is washable? Check our Shoe Fit Guide where you can filter by "Machine Washable" to see exactly which styles can go in the wash.
